Abstract

In the past 20 years,cities have expanded rapidly with the sharp growth of economy.To avoid the disorderly spreading of the cities to the surrounding suburbs and to meet the sustainable development of cities,the development of urban underground space has been intensified.Underpass tunnel as an important part of urban underground space can alleviate the traffic pressure of cities.Therefore,it is of great significance to improve the visual management level of underpass tunnels,and then timely monitor the damage and repair of underpass tunnels.

This research explored effective methods to combine building information modeling(BIM)with geographic information system(GIS)or threedimensional laser scanning technology.The methods were applied to municipal infrastructure construction and postmanagement maintenance,which can ef fectively provide the solution of the following problems and the construction of smart cities.The contents and results of this study are as follows:
