4-6 The Laocoon and his Sons
And in conclusion, one last element that of beauty. That is to say artistic and intellectual beauty to be realized through participation in the Games. Is it in fact possible to celebrate the festival of human Springtime without the presence of human intelligence? This of course, raises the all-importantmatter of the interaction of mind and matter and the form which the relationship between them and their co-operation must take.
Doubtless, mind is dominant, mattermust remain its slave as long as it is a question of the highest forms of literary and artistic creation. The roles are reversed only in those lower forms of activity which have been allowed tomultiply in these days of ever-increasing license,to the great detriment of civilization,of human dignity and truth,as well as in the international relations.
