1. Introduction

According to the sixth national census in 2010, the total population of Manchus is 10,410,850,000, and the Manchus in Yunnan are scattered all over the province, mainly in Kunming, Baoshan, Simao, Dehong, Qujing, Lincang, Honghe, and Chuxiong. In the early Qing Dynasty, Wu Sangui led the Qing troops into Yunnan, and it was at this time that the Manchus ofYunnan migrated. Later, some of the Manchus moved back to the north, while others stayed in Yunnan. During the periods ofAnti-Japanese War, Civil War and after the founding of New China, more Manchus came to Yunnan, mainly to engage in handicrafts and trade in the towns. The Manchus have their own language and script. Traditional festivals include the Banjin Festival[8], Spring Festival, Lantern Festival, Dragon Boat Festival and Mid-Autumn Festival.
