五、治疗
（一）一般治疗
由于本病侵犯女性患者，并且多在25岁以前即可发病，发病后缓慢发展数年后即静止，且多有自限性。所以在临床治疗上主要以对症处理为主，目的主要是改善患者生活质量。
（二）口腔颌面部异常相关的治疗建议
由于该疾病发病原因尚不清，所以国内外目前并尚无有效的治疗方法手段可以控制处于进展期患者的病情发展情况。大多在患者病情进入稳定期后，通过采用针灸、理疗、甚至手术的方式对患者面部功能异常进行恢复。对于伴有三叉神经痛的患者可通过口服药物或者手术的方式予以改善患者的临床症状。
