Diagnosis

Blood pressure check with adequate cuff（measure BP in moderate cases on 3 occasions）The initial measurement is on the arms.

If BP difference between two arms is greater than 20/15mm Hg.then should consider aortic-arch syndrome，Subclavian stenosis，aortic coarctation，aortic dissection；but majority have not obvious cause.(https://www.daowen.com)

Necessary examination：Mandatory exams in all newly diagnosed patients with HTN，e.g.urea/creatinine/electrolytes，urine dipstick/microscopy，fundoscopy，fast blood sugar，abdominal ultrasound scan，ECG.And the patients should check the blood glucose and renal function every year！
