6.6 CAR-T
Chimeric antigen receptors (CARs) are engineered receptors that can graft an arbitrary specificity onto an immune effector cell (T cell).CARs include three parts: an extracellular antigen recognition domain of the single-chain Fragment variant (scFv) derived from an antibody, a transmembrane domain and an intracellular T cell activation domain of CD3ζ.CAR-T cell therapy is designed to redirect a patient’s or donor’s T cells to specifically target and destroy tumor cells. This approach shows great promise for haematologic malignancies and solid tumors without major histocompatibility complex restriction [148].(https://www.daowen.com)
