◎Dagoba of Kaifu Temple

Located in Jing County,Dagoba of Kaifu Temple is called Sakya Dagoba and commonly known as Jingzhou Tower.It is one of the famous historic sites in southern Hebei.On November 20,1996,the State Council announced it was a major historical and cultural site protected at the national level.(https://www.daowen.com)

With 13 layers,Dagoba of Kaifu Temple has a brick-wood structure and a shape of an octahedral pyramid.As a pavilion type building,it is 63.85m high.The perimeter of the bottom layer is 50.5 meters,and the tower base is made of giant slates.There is an underground palace under the center of the tower and a cross-core structure inside the tower.Also there are circular corridors,which are connected with the doors on four sides.Hundreds of steps are built between the layers,which spiral up to the top of the tower.A copper gourd-shaped spire is installed on the top of the tower,which is 2.05m high and supported by a 3.3m iron mesh.This mesh and doors give the sound of surf when they are blown by wind,so it is called Ancient Dagoba with Windy Sound.Jingzhou Tower,Zhaozhou Bridge,Cangzhou Lion and Zhengding Bodhisattva are “Four Treasures of Hebei.”
