◎I.Li Dazhao Cultivated the Revolutionary Seeds at Wufeng Mountain

Li Dazhao was a pioneer of the Communist movement in China, great Marxist, and the main founder and one of the early leaders of the CPC.Wufeng Mountain in Qinhuangdao had an indissoluble bond with Li Dazhao in his brilliant life.In pursuit of the revolutionary truth and spreading the revolutionary cause of Marxism in China, he used to go to Jieshi Mountain in the north of Changli County, Qinhuangdao for many times. He wrote poems and revolutionary works in the ancient Temple of Duke Wen of Han, which left very precious revolutionary and cultural heritages for Qinhuangdao.

Li Dazhao published his works Travel Diary in the Jiayin Daily during his visit in Jieshi Mountain in May 1917, and went to Temple of Duke Wen of Han in Wufeng Mountain to avoid summer heat in the summer of 1918.Before he came here, he had published the article Comparative View of French and Russian Revolutions to express his preliminary understanding of the essence of the Russian October Revolution in the quarterly Yan Zhi.After arriving at Wufeng Mountain, he devoted himself to studying the materials about the Russian October Revolution, exploring the successful experience of it, and looking for the fundamental reasons for the frequent setbacks of the Chinese revolution, in order to re-choose the path of the Chinese revolution. In this year, he began to understand and accept Marxism. He saw that a new era was about to be born, and cheered for it: “Looking forward to the world in the future, we are sure to see a world of red flags!” In the summer of 1919,Li Dazhao went to Wufeng Mountain again to avoid summer heat, bringing his 10-year-old eldest son Baohua this time.As soon as he arrived at the mountain, he started an orderly and tense writing life.He wrote the paper My Marxist View, prose Travel Notes in Wufeng Mountain, and other works.
