In the “Biography of General Li” in Historical Records, Sima Qian mentioned that “Li Guang is a man of unparalleled talent in the world.”

According to historical records, Li Guang was the descendant of a famous general of Qin State.He studied a lot of military books since childhood.He was very skilled in martial arts, especially horseback riding and archery.After he joined the army, he made many military achievements and wrote three articles on archery, so he was a versatile talent of both literary and military capacity.Since he fought bravely and managed the army well,he was appreciated by the emperors.For example, Emperor Wen of the Han Dynasty said that he could be bestowed a title of Wan Hu Hou, the highest oきcial position in the Han Dynasty, and Emperor Wu of the Han Dynasty issued an edict praising him.He was not only supported by the soldiers, but also feared and respected by the enemies.Sima Qian described him as unparalleled in the world which Li Guang was worthy of.
