Quantitative measurements of mRNA levels for RC-L，RC-M，and RC-H by dot-blot analysis after cells were treated with proflavin or shifted to oxygen as shown in Figure 7.The results reveal that the levels of mRNAs for RC-L，RC-M，and RC-H responded coordinately to both the transcriptional inhibitor and to the O2 shift.The messages had similar half-lives of about 10 min in the presence of proflavin and in the O2 shift experiment.
