1.Basic Structure and Function of Aluminium Alloy Stringing Wire Clamps
(1)Basic structure
The wire clamp comprises an upper clamp plate,a lower clamp plate,a wing-shaped pulling plate,a pulling plate and a pressure plate,and the structure and main parts thereof are as shown in Fig.2-17.

(2)Basic function
When the conductor is released and tightened on the overhead power line,it can automatically clamp the conductor,and connect the intermediate connecting tool for the conductor and the hauling unit conveniently,and is suitable for adjusting the conductor or ground wire sag and tightening the conductor.
2.Classification and Technical Parameters of Aluminium Alloy Stringing Wire Clamps
(1)Classification
The aluminium alloy stringing wire clamp is divided into a single-hauling type(U-shaped pulling ring type)and a double-hauling type(wing-shaped pulling plate type)according to the hauling mode.
Fig.2-18 shows the stringing wire clamp in use.Fig.2-19 shows the installed stringing wire clamp.

3.Inspection Items of aluminium Alloy Stringing Wire Clamps
The aluminium alloy stringing wire clamp must be inspected before use as follows.
(1)Dimensional tolerances and shape tolerances of each part of the aluminium alloy stringing wire clamps shall comply with the design requirements.
(2)The upper clamp plate,the lower clamp plate,the wing-shaped pulling plate,the pulling plate and the pressure plate of the aluminum alloy wire clamp shall be die forgings of super-strength aluminum alloy,and the pulling ring of the aluminum alloy wire clamp shall be die forgings made of high-quality structural alloy steel.
(3)The surface of each component after processing shall be smooth and free of defects such as sharp edges,burrs,cracks and metal inclusions.
4.Precautions for Use of Aluminium Alloy Stringing Wire Clamps
The precautions for the use of aluminium alloy stringing wire clamps are as follows.
(1)Various aluminium alloy stringing wire clamps shall not be relatively slipped under the rated load with the clamped conductor,and the surface of the conductor is not allowed to be damaged.
(2)At the maximum test load,a certain amount of slip is allowed,but the maximum slip amount shall not exceed 5mm.The parts of the wire clamp are not deformed,and the average diameter of the conductor shall not be less than 97%of the diameter before clamping,and the surface of the conductor shall be free of obvious indentation.
(3)After the maximum static test load is removed,the parts of various aluminium alloy stringing wire clamps shall not be permanently deformed.
(4)The connection of each component shall be tight and reliable,and the opening and closing of the clamp is convenient and flexible with good integrity.
5.Precautions for storage of aluminium alloy stringing wire clamps
(1)The stringing wire clamps shall be kept in a dry and well-ventilated tools and instruments warehouse,stored in a special tools and instruments box or placed at the fixed point of the shelf.
(2)The label shall include the symbol,manufacturer's trademark,model and factory number,rated load and date of manufacture.
(3)There shall be a rectangular mark on the wire clamp,and the inspection cycle and the test date are marked in the rectangular mark.
(4)The label is stamped or riveted with signs.
6.Preventive Test for Aluminium Alloy Stringing Wire Clamps
For preventive tests,the appearance and main dimensions shall be checked for the aluminium alloy stringing wire clamps and the tensile test shall be carried out according to the requirements.The test cycle is 1 year.
