Fast Food in China

There are in the present two kinds of fast food in China, Chinese fast food and Western fast food. They both have their advantages and disadvantages.

The word fast-food seems to be first introduced into the Chinese language with the coming of Western fast food, such as Macdonald’s, Kentucky Fried Chicken and Pizza Hut.Western fast food industry has a long history and more advanced management than the Chinese fast food. It has greatly enriched the Chinese diet and is especially welcome by young people. But at the same time, it has produced some sick effects. The popular American culture symbolized by its fast food has deeply influenced the young and caused some of them to lose their Chinese culture and tradition. Chinese fast food suits the Chinese taste better and finds general support among all age groups. A successful example is Yon Ho Milk. But much of the Chinese fast food industry is ill managed and seems ineffective.(https://www.daowen.com)

As a Chinese, I hope that our fast food will get the upper hand over Western fast food in their fierce competition.
