6.1.2 Sustainability of Economy
The United Nations Environmental Program defined Economical Sustainability as a goal that “improves human well-being and social equity, while significantly reducing environmental risks and ecological scarcities.”[4]The growth of national and global economy as a result of this initiative includes many aspects, such as the level of GDP, people’s welfare, consumption, profit margins, and so forth.Economic growth is the driver, allowing governments to keep all aspects of sustainability according to human requirements. However, unsustainable economic growth can lead to the destruction of other sustainable developments. Therefore, sustainable economy should maintain growth without destroying the environmental, cultural and ecological sustainability.Careful implementation of policies that maintain or drive sustainable economic growth is necessary to avoid potential pitfalls.(https://www.daowen.com)
