Chapter 3 Sports of Unique Ethnic Minorities in Yunnan
There live 15 unique ethnic groups in Yunnan: the Bai, the Hani, the Dai, the Lisu,the Lahu, the Nakhi, the Jingpo, the Blang, the Achang, the Pumi, the Nu, the Jinuo, the De’ang, the Derung. 80% oftheir population collecting in Yunnan makes them unique. Due to distinct living areas, they formed certain groups with different customs and conventions.In the long process of evolution and integration, every ethnic group performed special sports games embodied with their own culture, history, beliefs, daily activities and wisdom.
