Based on the theory of population dynamics and the spatial association of enterprise innovation population，the growth dynamics model of enterprise innovation population is developed.This paper studies the relationship between the innovation population within a region and the innovation population in the adjacent region.Taking the relevant data of provinces and cities in East China as an example，the empirical analysis is carried out.The results show that the population dynamics model considering the spatial correlation is suitable for analyzing the relationship between the innovation population or within the innovation population.The competition and synergy among the innovative population of provinces and cities in East China show diversity.The study of the relationship is beneficial to optimize the environment of regional innovation and promote the development of enterprise innovation activities.
