Innovation is a systems engineering.It is difficult for a single organization to have all the resources needed for innovation.Building an innovative ecosystem is an important basis for industrial restructuring,innovation,entrepreneurship and supply side reform.The innovation ecosystem is a nonlinear,multi-level and complex system.The various innovative populations and the innovation environment are connected by material flow(material,information,energy)and talent flow.The basic elements of an innovative ecosystem are different species(such as enterprises,research institutions,aid agencies,governments,etc.).A collection of innovative species is an innovative population.A variety of innovative populations join together to form communities.The population and community evolve dynamically in the interaction of symbiosis and concurrence,and form the whole evolution of the system.The study of the interaction mechanism between innovative populations has theoretical and practical significance.The most active innovation population in the innovation ecosystem is the enterprise innovation population.
What is the interaction mechanism between populations?It is the main issue of study and it is the key problem that should be answered to construct an enterprise innovation ecosystem and effectively encourage innovation behavior.This paper combines the theory of ecosystem with the theory of enterprise innovation.The dynamic model of growth of enterprise innovation population is constructed based on the population dynamics principle of ecological theory and the principle of population cooperation.
