6.1 Frequency of the Appearance of Chinese Traditional Expressions in the Data
The traditional expressions in Chinese are mainly including idioms,archaisms,and ancient poems.According to Feng (2002),Chinese traditional expressions are embedded within traditional Chinese culture in the form of educative stories with moral,fables,sayings or ancient fairy tales,while idioms were mainly evolved out of customs,folk practices,daily life and religions.For my second hypothesis,I plan to test the frequency of the use of traditional expressions in the selected films,the purpose of which is to tell if the subtitlers in the translation of these films used this type of expression,and to discuss the results from the data.(https://www.daowen.com)
