（1）way：方法；道路。最普通用语，常可作比喻用法，指抽象的路。如：
They were on their way to school.
他们在去上学的路上。
（2）road：公路，马路；道路。具体的公路。如：
It is dangerous to drive a car on the village road quickly.
在乡间的公路上开快车很危险。
（3）street：市区街道。如：(https://www.daowen.com)
There are many buildings along the street.
沿街有很多建筑物。
（4）path：乡间小路，林间小径。如；
We had a good time on the path.
我们在小路上玩得十分开心。
另外，avenue指大街；林荫大道，route为路线、路程、航线，passage为通路、走廊。
