168.四个“附近”。at，near，beside，by
（1）at：在，表示存在或出现的地点场所、位置、空间等。如：
I am sitting at the desk reading books.
我正坐在桌边读书。
（2）near：在……附近，靠近。意为“在附近”，指相对而言实际距离不一定很近。如：
A new hospital is being built near our school.
我们学校附近正在兴建一家医院。
（3）beside：在旁边；在附近。尤其指“在……旁边”“在……身边”，一种触手可及的近。如：
The boy was sitting beside his father.
男孩坐在他父亲旁边。(https://www.daowen.com)
（4）by：在……旁边。和beside意思相近，实际距离也比较近。如：
I planted some trees by the river.
我在河边种了些树。
如果按从远到近排列这几个“附近”，顺序为：near＞by＞beside＞at。
另外还有around表示“在……附近”，表示的距离比by和beside稍远些；也常用next to表示“紧靠……的旁边”。如：
The new building next to the book store is a cinema.
书店旁边的那幢新楼是一家电影院。
