◎Our mineral resources

As of 2018, 49 kinds of minerals had been identified in the city, and nearly 30 kinds had been exploited and utilized. The main mineral reserves include: 5.155 billion tons of coal, 6.837 billion tons of iron ore, 21,000 kilograms of gold, 372 million tons of limestone for cement production, 267 million tons of limestone for flux, 138 million tons of limestone for alkali production and 474 million tons of metallurgical dolomite. There were 395 licensed mines in the city, including 215 iron mines, 150 open-pit nonmetallic mines, 17 coal mines, eight gold mines and five mineral water mines. There are mainly eight minerelated counties, cities and districts in Tangshan: Zunhua, Qian'an, Qianxi, Yutian, Luanzhou, Kaiping, Guye and Fengrun.(https://www.daowen.com)
