In 2018, the sea area under Tangshan's jurisdiction was 4,467 square kilometers, and the mainland coastline was 229.72 kilometers long, accounting for 64.3 percent and 47.4 percent of the total of Hebei Province respectively. Tangshan borders Qinhuangdao City on the east at the Luanhe Pass and Tianjin City on the west at Chawangpu, Sajintuo. It has altogether six coastal counties and development zones: Caofeidian District, Laoting County, Luannan County, Fengnan District, Port Development Zone and Tangshan International Tourism Island. According to the 2010 National Island Census, 12 uninhabited islands in the city had been included in the national island list. The islands cover a total area of 35.5 square kilometers, among which Bodhi Island, Moon Island, Ge Island, Xiangyun Island and Dragon Island are relatively stable, with an area of 34.1 square kilometers, accounting for 96.1 percent of the total island area of the city.(https://www.daowen.com)
