◎Qingshan Pass
Qingshanguan (Qingshan Pass) tourist area is located in Shangying Township, Qianxi County. It is a national 4A-level scenic spot as well as a rural tourism demonstration site in Hebei Province. Of the passes on the 115-kilometer-long section of the ancient Great Wall in Qianxi County, the Qingshan Pass Great Wall is the best-preserved one, which thus can best reflect the Great Wall culture. There stand not only unique watchtowers of the Great Wall such as the 72-Arch Buildings, Moon City, Prison Buildings, but also the best-preserved lifting water gate in the Great Wall, and the Qingshan Pass Great Wall Castle, which has a history of more than 400 years. The Qingshan Pass Great Wall Castle is the highlight of the scenic spot, built during the Wanli period of the Ming Dynasty. The castle has two gates on the north and the south, with the south gate being the main gate. Viewed from the Great Wall, it is slightly flat in the north to south and elevated in the east and west, which makes it look like an ingot, so it is called the Ingot City. Moreover, the entire castle has an antique flavor, with a rich border culture and colorful folk customs. There are some relatively well-preserved ancient folk-custom buildings there such as government offices, barracks, temples, teahouses, wine shops, and residential houses. It is called “the most exquisite castle along the Great Wall” by experts.(https://www.daowen.com)
