Da Hua Bang,as a folk dance full of the agricultural society’s features,has been popular for a long time in Wuqiang County,Hengshui.As a primitive cultural form for farmers to amuse themselves,it originated from the action and sound of beating mosquitoes when farmers were watching the threshing ground in summer and autumn.All the dancers are men in short pants and with bared arms and feet.They pat,beat,twist,pull,throw and clutch each part of the body,to give out ringing sounds.The limbs and body are danced with the rhythms.The performers also shout “Hi—” from their hearts.Their artistic style is lively,warm,bold and simple.This dance can be called a living fossil,since it appeared at least 2,000 years ago.After the re-creation of artists,Da Hua Bang was moved onto the stage in the 1980s,causing strong repercussions and drawing great attention in the dance circle at home and abroad.(https://www.daowen.com)
