◎Sanhuang Paochui Boxing

Sanhuang Paochui Boxing School respects the Yellow Emperor,with the first name Xuanyuan,the first human ancestor of Chinese civilization,as its founder,and is also called “Renzong School,” “Renzu School,” or “Sanhuang School.” In the late Ming and early Qing Dynasties,Qiao Sanxiu,a famous martial arts master in Ji County (Jizhou),Hebei Province,taught this art,and related written records and cultural relics were available from then on.Qiao Sanxiu passed this art onto his son,Qiao Ling (styled Heling),who handed the true essence onto Song Yanchao (styled Mailun),Yu Liandeng,Zhang Wencai and Wang Shuangkui,the third generation.After reviewing what he had learned in his whole life and devoting himself to the research,Song Yanchao created the unique skill of “Master Giving a Salute.” He was known as the “Magic Boxer Song Mailun” in “Shenjiying” (a troop of the imperial army) in the capital city,and later founded the “Jingdu Huiyou Escort Agency.” After Yu Jian,Yu Liandeng’s son,got Song’s secret skills,he made great progress in developing the “Jingdu Huiyou Escort Agency” and “Sanhuang Paochui Boxing School.”(https://www.daowen.com)

In 1931,Li Yaochen,belonging to the fifth generation of Sanhuang Paochui Boxing School and also a native person of Jizhou,was employed as a martial arts instructor of the Broadsword Team of the 29th National Army.He created “Wuji Broadsword Technique” to teach Anti-Japanese soldiers who defeated the Japanese army at Xifengkou and Lugou Bridge.After the founding of the People’s Republic of China,he served as the chief referee of several Beijing and national martial arts competitions for many times.
