In 1948,some villagers excavated several tombs near Feng’s Tombs, and took out more than 300 pieces of cultural relics and 5 epitaphs from four tombs and one tomb passage which were not collapsed. In 1955,the Beijing History Museum sent people to investigate and collect the unearthed cultural relics.Among them, the Celadon Lotus Zun (a kind of wine vessel used in ancient times) has become a national treasure collected in the National Museum of China. After it was included in the list of the first batch of major historical and cultural sites protected at the national level in March 1961,the cultural relics department of Hebei Province set up signs and landmarks for the tombs. From 1984 to 1986,a comprehensive investigation was carried out on these tombs, and then the protection scope and construction control zone were delimited.
