◎Lujiazhuang Murals
As a major historical and cultural site protected at the national level, the tomb with murals of the Eastern Han Dynasty is located near Lujiazhuang Village in the southeast of Anping County.Facing south, the whole tomb was composed of three parts, the front chamber, the middle chamber and the rear chamber, with four gates, the front, rear, east and west gates.Among them, the south side chamber of the front chamber, the middle chamber and the south side chamber of the middle chamber were all painted with large-scale color murals.
With large-scale travel-related pictures and architectural bird’s-eye views, these murals are unprecedented in the tombs with murals found in China till today. In addition to the murals, white characters were written on the tops of the front chamber, the north side chamber and middle side chamber, most of which are sentences from the classics such as the Book of Filial Piety (Xiao Jing) and Analects of Confucius (Lun Yu).These characters, belonging to the Han Li script (an ancient style of calligraphy in the Han Dynasty),are graceful and vigorous, and neat but not rigid. They are rare cultural relics in the world.(https://www.daowen.com)
