Beautiful Natural Scenery

Picturesque Natural Bridges 440 million years ago,the Fuping area and the whole North China rose to form land.During the neotectonics movement of the Himalaya Mountains,this area was compressed northward,strongly uplifted and faulted by the Indian plate,thus forming“China’s largest natural bridge of metamorphic rock and the largest waterfalls in North China.”These two geological wonders are located in Zhujiaying Natural Bridge Valley,Fuping County.Zhujiaying Natural Bridge Valley is a seep and tortuous natural valley with primitive ecology.The valley,with changing width,features clear streams partly hidden in the mountains.Sometimes,they are like a magnificent symphony; and sometimes,they are like melodious light music,providing the whole valley with infinite vitality and energy.The steep cliffs on both sides of the streams are strange peaks and rocks.In the upper reaches of the natural Bridge Valley,there are nine waterfalls,which form the largest waterfall group in northern China.The waterfalls,with the heights from tens of meters to more than 100 meters from top to bottom,are like nine dragons rushing down from the cliff.Above the waterfalls is an ancient stone bridge,which is the first stone bridge naturally formed by metamorphic gneiss discovered in China.The natural bridge and the Milky Way Waterfall of Yaotai Mountain,which has the highest flow and drop,form a unique,rare and wonderful natural geological wonder.

Steep and Fantastic Baishi Mountain The Baishi Mountain,at the northern end of the Taihang Mountains,is located 15 kilometers south of Laiyuan County.It is a tall mountain with three tops,six platforms,nine valleys and 81 peaks.The main ridge line is more than 7,000 meters long,and the highest peak,with an altitude of 2,096 meters,hundreds of meters higher than the surrounding mountains,can be seen in almost any location of Laiyuan.The Baishi Mountain,combining the magnificence of Mount Huangshan,the steepness of Mount Huashan and the beauty of Zhangjiajie,is called“The Northern Mount Huangshan”because of its shape and charm similar to that of Mount Huangshan.The Baishi Mountain enjoys various landscapes,including peaks,strange rocks,steep cliffs,canyons,waterfalls,forests,sea of clouds,Buddha’s halo,great walls,and temples.With peculiar landforms and complicated structures,it can be summarized with“magnificence,”“steepness,”“fantasy”and“elegance.”

Yesanpo,an earthly paradise Yesanpo,also known as Panpo,is located at the intersection of the Taihang Mountains and the Yanshan Mountains in the north of Laishui County.Yesanpo features the magnificence of the Taihang Mountains,the elegance of the Yanshan Mountains,the steepness of Mount Huangshan,the charm of Mount Emei and the seclusion of Mount Qingcheng.It is beautiful everywhere,especially the Baili Canyon,which is the most famous.The Baili Canyon,known as the“No.1 Canyon of China,”is located in Gougezhuang Village,Yesanpo Town and consists of three canyons.In the canyons,there are strange rocks standing tall and cliffs thousands of meters high.The amazing karst scenery integrates the magnificence,steepness,bizarreness and seclusion to form a hundred-mile gallery.Due to the depth of the canyons and the short period of sunshine,the temperature in the canyons is still around 20℃ when the outside temperature is as high as 40℃.

Damao Mountain,a cool world The Damao Mountain is located at the junction of Fuping,Tangxian and Laiyuan counties.As the origin of Tongtian River,a tributary of the Tanghe River and also known as the Fairy Mountain,it is a cool world isolated from the heat of summer.Taiyi Peak,its main peak,is 1,890 meters high,and surrounded by a number of peaks,such as Grandpa Peak,Grandma Peak,Mother-child Peak,Daughter-in-law Peak and Virtuous Woman Peak.There are also some strange peaks and rocks with beautiful associated legends,such as Shirengou,Long Life Rock,Old Buddha Stone Hall,Bodhisattva Mountain,Bangchui Mountain,which show the magnificence and steepness of Damao Mountain in silence.
