Caohe Donkey Burger The birthplace of Donkey Burger is Caohe Town,Xushui,Baoding.In the Song Dynasty,when the Cao Society captured donkeys of the salt merchants for carrying goods,they killed the donkeys,and explored a unique way to process donkey meat,which later became a famous food of Baoding.Made of the meat of young donkeys through exquisite processing and crisp and soft burgers,it is delicious with a strong aftertaste.

White Meat Burger White Meat Burger is a characteristic snack in Baoding,which was first operated by Yichunlou Restaurant.Yichunlou Restaurant was opened in 1908.At first,it sold meat products,and then it sold white meat burgers,which were very popular among poor working people.Feng Yuxiang was born in a poor family.When he entered the city,he couldn’t afford a big restaurant,so he always went to Yichunlou to eat white meat burgers.After Feng Yuxiang became a general,every time he returned to Baoding,he would go to Yichunlou to eat it.From then on,the reputation of Yichunlou White Meat Burger was greatly enhanced.White Meat Burger is made of selected meat with crisp fat and minced muscles.When cooking,the foam and oil are removed,more than a dozen seasonings are added,and then it is stewed with slow fire.It is savoury but not greasy,mild but not tasteless.

Bai Yunzhang Steamed Stuffed Buns Bai Yunzhang Steamed Stuffed Buns is a time-honored brand in the catering industry of Baoding created by Bai Yunzhang in 1919 after his own name.The bell-shaped buns feature thin wrapping,narrow edge,rich stuffing and oil.The stuffing can be seen through the wrapping.If you pick up a bun and shake it,you can feel the meat ball shaking inside the wrapping.Steamed stuffed buns must be made from exquisite materials,and the beef or mutton used must be fresh,preferably beef or mutton from the back with suitable proportions of fat and muscles,and sesame oil purchased from fixed suppliers must be used.At a national quality competition of steamed stuffed buns in 1958,Baoding Bai Yunzhang Steamed Stuffed Buns and Tianjin Goubuli (Go Believe) Steamed Stuffed Buns shared the championship.In 1980,Bai Yunzhang Steamed Stuffed Buns was granted the honor of High-quality Characteristic Food of Hebei Province.In 2017,it was appraised as a“Time-honored Brand of Baoding”by the Baoding Municipal Bureau of Commerce.
