◎Xiangtangshan Caves

Xiangtangshan Caves,located in Gushan Mountain,Fengfeng Mining District,Handan,cluster into two groups about 15 kilometers apart: The northern group and the southern group. As these caves on the hillside could echo the sounds people make while they are inside,such as their laughs,talks and steps,the place is named “Xiangtangshan Caves,” literally meaning “Caves on the Echoing Halls Mountain.” There are 22 caves,more than 450 cliff statues,more than 5,000 statues of various sizes,and a large number of carved scriptures and inscriptions. It is the largest caves found in Hebei Province,as well as the first batch of major historical and cultural sites under state protection by the State Council.(https://www.daowen.com)
