◎IV.Banchangyu Kilns Site
There is a very important pass of the Great Wall of the Ming Dynasty on the dangerous peak on the north of Banchangyu Village, Zhucaoying Town, Qinhuangdao City, Hebei Province, which is 3.5km long and has been well preserved.A group of rare brick kilns were discovered in the village in the winter of 2002.The brick kilns are covered with cultivated soil, clay and scorched soil from top to bottom.There are 24 kilns full of bricks, and each kiln has 20 layers and more than 5,000 bricks.According to experts' analysis, these were spare bricks for the Great Wall, and they are the earliest brick kilns discovered in China.
