6.5.2 Temperature and Humidity Meter

1.Basic structure and Function of Temperature and Thermohygrometer

(1)Basic structure

The thermohygrometer consists of temperature and humidity probe and display meter.

(2)Basic function

Thermohygrometer is an instrument used to measure instantaneous temperature and humidity as well as average temperature and humidity,with functions of measuring temperature and humidity,display,record,real-time clock,data communication and over limit alarm.Fig.6-29 shows the structure of thermohygrometer.

2.Technical Parameters of Thermohygrometer

(1)Range:humidity 0%-100%R.H.,temperature-20°C-+50°C.

(2)Resolution:0.1%R.H,0.1°C,0.1℉.

(3)Accuracy:humidity is±3%,temperature is±1°C.

(4)Display:Double display of temperature and humidity.

3.Inspection Contents of Thermohygrometer

The thermohygrometer must be inspected before use as follows.

(1)Check whether the appearance of thermohygrometer is good.

(2)Check the factory certificate and calibration certificate of the thermohygrometer and confirm that the thermohygrometer is within the inspection period.

(3)Check whether the battery of thermohygrometer is good.

(4)Check whether the joints are in good condition.(https://www.daowen.com)

4.Usage of Thermohygrometer

(1)Connect the temperature and humidity probe to the display meter,then raise the temperature and humidity probe with one hand,and operate the reading of the display meter with the other hand.

(2)If the thermohygrometer is with abnormal smell,sound or smoke,or there is liquid flowing inwards during operation,turn off the instrument and take out the battery immediately.Otherwise,there will be danger of electric shock,fire or damage to thermohygrometer.

(3)Do not expose the probe and thermohygrometer body to rain.Otherwise,there will be danger of electric shock,fire or personal injury.

(4)Do not touch the sensor inside the probe.

(5)Do not drop or press the thermohygrometer.Otherwise,malfunction or damage may be caused to the thermohygrometer.Fig.6-30 shows the use of thermohygrometer.

5.Precautions for Storage of Thermohygrometer

(1)The the rmohygro meter shall be stored in a well-ventilated,dry and clean environment,and put on shelves.

(2)Properly maintain instruments and apparatus.

(3)Properly keep technical data and instructions of instruments and apparatus.

(4)Take out battery when the thermohygrometer is not in use for a long time.Otherwise,battery may leak,causing damages to thermohygrometer.

(5)Do not place the rmohygrometer in a place with high temperature,high humidity,dust and direct sunlight.Otherwise,damage to the internal device or deterioration of thermohygrometerper for mance will be caused.

Fig.6-31 shows the tool cabinet for storing thermohygrometer.

6.Preventive Test of Thermohygrometer

The preventive test type of the rmohygro meter is mainly to check the thermohygrometer every year,and the test cycle shall not exceed one year.
