The United Kingdom has a relatively homogeneous culture because of the presence of four distinct regional ethnic groups：the English，the Scotts，the Irish and the Welsh.In addition，there are many ethnic minority groups from all over the world.However，in spite of all the differences between different parts of Britain and between different groups of people，there are still many shared or common customs，traditions，values and beliefs among them.One element of this cultural sameness is the religion of the British people.In addition，the existence of broadly shared culture，which is cultivated and promoted by mass media，also contributes to the cultural identity of Great Britain as a nation.
