Shehuduo led her younger brother，Juluwang，to walk in the mountains and forests without stopping for a moment.They climbed over mountains that were more difficult to climb over than an ox horn，and walked through mountain roads that were as complicated as sheep's intestines.One day，the two walked into a big forest as dark as the bottom of a pot and found that they had no way out.Being fearful and anxious，they sat down under a large tree to rest.They had never experienced such things before.The wind blew hard enough to make the trees howl；the continuous rumbling thunders shook the mountains；the torrential rain poured down and lowered the cliff.In the flash of lightning，they saw the wind，thunder and rain falling down on a phoenix on the cliff opposite them.The phoenix was injured and was going to die.The two pitied the phoenix and tried to rescue it，so they held each other and climbed towards the phoenix.Climbing to the phoenix's side，they found that the phoenix was entangled with a big vine and could not get away.They found two stones，and with the help of the lightning，they each took a stone and smashed it on the vine.

The vine was broken and the phoenix was rescued.As soon as the phoenix flapped its wings and soared high into the air，it let out a long roar，and the wind and the rain stopped immediately.With another long roar，the thunder and the flash stopped.Then with another roar，the clouds cleared away，the sky brightened，and the mountains became colorful.

In order to repay their kindness，the phoenix shook off a feather from its body and gave it to them.When the feather hit the ground，it became a burning torch，lighting the mountains and forests，and warming them.Flying in the air，the phoenix said，“Kind-hearted people，I have nothing good to repay you.All I can give you is the fire to cook food and warm yourselves.You two take the fire back，add it with some twigs and grass roots，and it will never go out！”

The phoenix flew eastward with singing songs.Shehuduo and Juluwang quickly picked up the torch and held it high as they walked back to Lufeng Mountain.
