On a holy mountain in Sichuan，there were a golden rooster and a sacred goose practicing.The golden rooster was living in a fairy cave，and the sacred goose was living in another one.
They had been practicing days and nights on this mountain for thousands of years.They never did anything harmful to people.Sometimes，they transferred into human forms to save the suffering people.For this reason，the Buddha was very touched and sent a message to tell them to go to the Western Paradise to listen to sutras.Therefore，the golden rooster and the sacred goose flew to the Western Paradise.
The golden rooster and the sacred goose had listened to the Buddha's sermon for several years in the Western Paradise.Knowing that they had learned a lot，the Buddha said to them，“You two have been listening to the scriptures for many years，so you should go and find another paradise.Let evil there turn into good，dark into light，ugliness into beauty，falsehood into truth...”
Following the suggestion of the Buddha，the golden rooster and the sacred goose flew back together again.The golden rooster gave up the high mountain where he had been practicing.He let the sacred goose live there and vowed to find another place.Later，the sacred goose civilized the dharmakaya on the mountain and gave lectures.Because the mountain had no name at that time，the sacred goose named the mountain“Emei Mountain”.
The golden rooster took leave of the sacred goose and went around looking for a place to settle down.From east to west，from west to east，from south to north，and from north to south，he could not find some satisfactory place.When he flew to Binchuan County in Yunnan，it was already dark.He came to the Gray-Dragon Mountain to have a rest when he found the east part of the Bazi noisy.The big black dragon's team was busy with moving mountains to create the sea！
“Oh！How dare they do that！”When the golden rooster saw this，he thought to himself，“If this place is turned into a sea，will people not suffer from disasters？I have to figure out a proper way to stop this impending disaster.”
At this moment，the little gray dragon came down from the sky and angrily scolded him，“What are you？How dare you bump into my gold land？Go away quickly or you will die！”
The golden rooster got a fright and looked intently at the little gray dragon.Then he smiled and said，“Oh，it was Brother Gray Dragon.”
The little gray dragon snapped，“Who is your brother？Get out of here.If you annoy me，you'll be ruined！”
The golden rooster still said kindly，“Brother Gray Dragon，don't be so angry！You call yourself the king here，but you don't know that someone is grabbing your territory.Can you still bear it？”
“Who dares to seize my territory？”asked the little gray dragon.“You must be the one.Look at my sword first！”
With saying this，the little gray dragon wielded the sword to stab the golden rooster.With a sound，the little gray dragon's sword flew away，while the golden rooster stood still and only one feather fell down，glittering，shining brightly all over the Gray-Dragon Mountain.The little gray dragon was frightened.Only then did he realize that this golden rooster had great abilities.He knelt on the ground with a loud plop and begged for mercy.The golden rooster was kind-hearted and rushed forward to help the little gray dragon stand up.
The little gray dragon asked，“Where did you come from？”
The golden rooster told his story truthfully.
The little gray dragon was overjoyed and bowed to the golden rooster，and said，“It was the golden rooster god who came here.No wonder I had a strange dream last night.”
The golden rooster asked，“What is it？”
The little gray dragon said，“I dreamt a white-bearded fairy said to me，‘The Golden Rooster King is coming.He will choose this mountain as a place to chant sutras，and you should give this mountain to him！’After saying it，he disappeared.I can't believe you are here.I'm willing to give this precious mountain to you to show my sincerity.”
The golden rooster said，“Just leave the thing aside for the time being.Let's save the people who are going to suffer.The big black dragon is leading the tiger，the rhinoceros，the crab，the turtle and other monsters to remove mountains and creating a sea.”
The little gray dragon scolded angrily，“This big black dragon is too bad！My king，how can we deal with them？”
The golden rooster pondered for a moment and said，“Tonight I'll crow to scare them off.Tomorrow，everything will be ready for...”
The golden rooster held his mouth close to the little gray dragon's ear and said something for a while.The little gray dragon could not help smiling while listening.
