A Little Gray Dragon Relieving Drought
In ancient times，Dali Bazi was covered with sea water.Later，the sea gradually narrowed down and became Erhai Lake.There were many dragons in the sea，white dragons，black dragons，green dragons，gray dragons...This legend began with a little gray dragon.
One day，the little gray dragon swam around in the sea，feeling really boring，so he dashed through a waterway and flew to the sky.Suddenly，he saw the dust and soil flying in Binchuan Bazi.People in rags were running away with their children.
The little gray dragon was very puzzled and thought to himself，“What is going on？”
He then descended in the ground and transformed into a young scholar.Shaking a round fan in one hand，he walked down the mountain with a measured step，looking for someone to tell him the reason.Just then，there came an old woodcutter.He stepped forward and asked him politely：
“Excuse me，could you tell me the name of this place？”
The old woodcutter replied，“This is Sow-Dragon Mountain.”
The little gray dragon asked，“Why are the people here so poor？”
Hearing this，the old woodcutter sighed and said，“Alas！Young man，it's a long story...”He put down the firewood，found a stone to sit down and began to tell the story.
It turned out that this Bazi was once full of mountains，green waters and abundant grain，and people lived a happy life.Later，a ferocious sow-dragon（means a crocodile）came to occupy the mountain，and controlled the water source of this Bazi.The sow-dragon used magic to make this place dry for nine years out of ten years.What even more abominable was that every year on the lunar New Year's Eve，people were required to send a boy and a girl to him to eat.
Hearing this，the little gray dragon was very angry and vowed secretly to eliminate the monster and rescue the people.After giving thanks the old woodcutter，the little dragon went off in a cloud.
Early in the following day，the little gray dragon fought with the sow-dragon in the sow-dragon pond，causing the clouding rolling and the rocks flying.The sowdragon couldn't compete with the little gray dragon，and ran away.The little gray dragon flew back to Erhai Lake to ask the dragon mother for a way to relieve drought.The dragon mother was kind-hearted and gave him a box of water，which is today's“box hole”.Since then，Binchuan Bazi has had water.After people were saved，they all acclaimed the little gray dragon as the mountain king of Sow-Dragon Mountain，changing the name of the mountain to“Gray-Dragon Mountain”and calling the pool where the little gray dragon lived“Jade-Dragon Pool”.
In Erhai Lake，the little gray dragon met a black dragon，who was very strong and powerful，and often bullied other little dragons.On the day when the little gray dragon came back to Erhai Lake，the black dragon went up to catch him.So the little gray dragon fought with the black dragon，making the black clouds rolling over and the waves floating.They did not give in to each other.Later，many dragons came to watch their fight.All of them hated the black dragon.Finding that the little gray dragon could not defeat the black dragon，they came forward to help him.They bit the black dragon to scream.Then the black dragon escaped from Erhai Lake and never dared to come back.
When the little gray dragon defeated the big black dragon and returned to the Gray-Dragon Mountain，he saw the black dragon bathing in the Jade-Dragon Pool.The little gray dragon was furious and said sharply，“You damned black dragon，you didn't change your bad habits，and came to my place to do evil again！Get out of my way quickly，otherwise...”
The black dragon was once beaten by the little gray dragon in Erhai Lake.In fear，he replied humbly，“Am I committing any crime against you here？”
The little gray dragon said，“Don't you know that this is my place of residence？”
The black dragon said，“Please don't get angry.I just get out of the way！”
With saying it，the black dragon flew to the east with driving the cloud！
