Dr Guoqiang Liu(correspondent author)teaches in the School of Humanities and Social Sciences at Deakin University in Australia.He has been working in the area of applied linguistics and language education，and his interests include second language acquisition，sociolinguistic issues，identity in language change，local identity in dialect maintenance，and language policy and planning in national identity.

Dr Fengqi Qian teaches Chinese in School of Humanities and Social Sciences，Deakin University，in Australia.Her research interests are in Chinese studies with focus on China’s cultural heritage and cultural history.Her research has been published in academic journals and book chapters in these areas.She has participated as the investigator in three research Australian government funded research projects on cultural heritage policies in China.
