7.2 Prospect for the Future of Historic Personalit...
There is no doubt that the historic residences of important personalities can play a vital role in the development of local culture. They can be the pride of the local community because they are the shining stars in the history of human beings.Their distinguished stories should not be forgotten, and the traces of their local life should not be erased.Their residences are the location of these shining stars. These residences are a living archive that should not be destroyed in any era and in any form.
Although the architecture and environment of their former residence may be ordinary, even shabby, they can possess great historical and cultural significance, which is often the only priceless treasure of the local community and the only place where the people can commemorate them.Implementing sustainable strategies to their protection and development will maintain and revitalize these heritage sites, which can educate and inspire the contemporary and the future generation to inherit their spirit, develop their contributions, thereby making the local culture and identity prosperous for the local community.
Therefore, understanding the value of historic personalities’ residences, making specific policies and regulations, using science and technology to actively protect the residences sustainably, combining the heritage with the times and the needs of contemporary life to revitalize these historic residences, and actively creating multiple channels for proper usage, sustaining the historic residence economy, stimulating public participation, are all essential methods to aid in the protection of heritage sites, thereby enabling this precious cultural heritage to be kept in good condition, thus strengthening the regional identity, enriching cultural diversity, and playing a benign role in education, tourism, and local economy for a wider benefit to the community.(https://www.daowen.com)
