Jinan Cultural Heritage Bureau bought Lao she’s former residence at the end of 2012, aim to restore and transform it into a memorial hall.From 2013 to 2014, Jinan Culture and Tourism Bureau started a restoration project for this residence, and Jinan Archaeological Research Institute was made responsible for the overall organization of the project (Fig.8-5,8-6).During the implementation process, a large number of detailed investigations on Lao She and his former residence were obtained, which ensured the successful completion of the project.[6]The restoration of Lao She’s former residence in Jinan has attracted great attention from relevant departments of provinces and municipalities, causing positive repercussions of society.State, Provincial and Municipal televisions, newspapers and other media have reported on it.In 2014, the renovated residence was opened to the public as the Memorial Hall of Lao She.Now it has become the most important historic personality’s memorial residence in Jinan (Fig.8-7,8-8).
