1.1 This treatment principle is for reference only. In addition, local guidelines for treatment can be selected or formulated according to their own results of clinical trails.
1.2 The use of antimalarial drugs should follow the principles: early diagnosis and prompt effective treatments. Rational use of anti-malaria agents, according to the species of Plasmodium and the sensitivity of antimalarial drugs in the endemic area and the clinical manifestations of patients, the drugs should be selected reasonably and the appropriate weight-body dosing, course of treatment and administration should be strictly controlled in order to ensure the therapeutic effect and delay the emergence of drug resistance, prevent relapse and recurrence.(https://www.daowen.com)
1.3 Patients with Plasmodium falciparum should be given primaquine once to kill the gametophyte to prevent transmission. Plasmodium vivax and oval malaria must be cured with primaquine.
1.4 In the endemic or mixed endemic areas of falciparum malaria, under the condition that diagnosis of malaria can’t carry out by microscopy, suspected malaria should be treated according to falciparum malaria first. In addition, the treatment measures of other diseases should be considered at the same time.
