River God

River God

River God is the god of the Yellow River. This is a song dedicated to this god.

River God swims together with thee in nine rivers.

A strong gale rises and agitates up turbulent waves.

Ride water wagon with lotus leave as wagon umbrella.

Two dragons pull my wagon with two chi pulling the wagon.

Ascending Mount Kunlun I gaze far into the distance.

My thinking is flying freely and I've largeness of mind.

This fine view at dusk makes me forget to return.

It reminds me to think of river town all of a sudden.

Tiles made of fish scales and dragon painted in the hall.

Decorated with purple shells and the entrance is beautiful.(https://www.daowen.com)

Jade palace is decorated with resplendent pearls.

Why does the River God live within the water always？

Riding the white turtle with wen fish as a partner.

For ever we shall travel to the sand islet together.

We enjoy everlasting love，everlasting love gladdens us.

Lovesickness is like water and water is like lovesickness.

I go to the east hand in hand with thee.

See thee off to go to the southern bank.

The roaring river water comes to say good-bye to thee.

Even the fish come here in a queue to accompany thee.
