The toast speech should be conveyed in such a manner that it is easy to persuade both the person（s）being honored and the audience being present.To do this，the speaker should express his/her wishes in a sincere way.Improperly conveyed speeches may even bring the audience into fury and commotion.

The tone of the toasts is determined both by the formality of the occasions and the popularity of the person（s）being honored.The tone of the toast delivered at a state banquet to treat foreign guests will always arouse among the audience awe and admiration，whereas a toast made by a good friend at an informal gathering can be interesting and humorous，as exemplified in Format 2.
