4.4　Data Collection

The collected datasets include university public documents, the six Chinese students’ personal recounts, four video and audio recordings of seminars over four years, two rounds of semi-structured interviews with the six Chinese students, and one round of interviews with both five non-Chinese students and three non-Chinese teachers.The following sections review the strengths and limitations of the above instruments of data collection, and the reasons why they are employed in the research.
