China is blessed with a stable macro environment,which should be cherished by all Chinese citizens.However,this is not to be expected from every economy in the world.Globally,cases occur when governments are toppled and industries disturbed by regional wars,rebellions,strikes,commotions,or civil wars,etc.The conflict between Russia and Ukraine starting in 2022 has hiked up prices for many products,such as natural gas and sunflower seed oil.And these are not unique to emerging or underdeveloped economies.Developed countries also experience social unrest occasionally.As most democratic countries today have a ruling party and one or more opposition parties,when a new government takes office,policies of the former government might be annulled.For example,the Trump administration did away with Obama’s health care package,withdrew from the North America Free Trade Agreement,initiated trade wars with China,etc.Therefore,it is necessary for you to keep a close watch on the political climate of your target region.
