2.2.4 Cargo Risk货物风险

The list for cargo risks is long.If you ship by sea, there might be risks particular to the ship’s state at sea.For instance, the ship can run into natural calamities, such as storms, lightning, tsunamis, etc.; it can sink,be stranded or collide with icebergs or other objects in a storm. There might also be risks which have no direct relevance with its state at sea,but equally hazardous. For example, the cargo can be stolen, damped, contaminated, etc.; delivery might be impeded by wars, strikes,or the importer’s refusal to take delivery. If you ship by air,it’s safer, but the flight could be canceled or delayed due to bad weather. On extreme occasions, the airplane can crash. If you ship by land, infrastructure of the importing country, particularly those politically high-risk countries should be taken into consideration.
