Cross-border B2B platforms are great facilitators to global trade.Once you set up your company websites,you may further register with a B2B platform and upload your product information to increase exposure.If you are a new or small business without enough finance or manpower to maintain an independent company website,use the existing B2B or B2C platforms.Well-known platforms include Alibaba,Global Sources,Made-in-China,Kompass,Amazon,eBay,etc.(see Table 2-1),with different strength for different regions or categories of commodities.Driven by the general trend of Big Data in all sectors of our life,these platforms are increasingly powerful in data collection and analysis.They generate business opportunities for traders by processing large amount of information.However,they are not only portals to international business,but also helpful in improving order-processing efficiency by providing diversified functions on the entire supply chain.
