6.1.1.1 Liner vessel types班轮运输船型

Cargoes can be containerized, bulk or breakbulk, which leads to the emergence of vessels for different purposes. Most liner shipping goes by containerships, accounting for about 80% of liner vessels worldwide. The other 20% are mainly:general cargo vessels and multipurpose vessels, which can accommodate both containers and breakbulk cargoes; car and truck carriers, designed specifically to handle passenger vehicles and trucks, but also tractors, bulldozers and the like; and roll on/roll off ships, which handle not only the drivable vehicles that are accommodated on car carriers, but also project and heavy lift cargoes that are typically too large or too heavy to be moved on container vessels, such as wind turbines.
