10.2　Promissory Note本票

A promissory note is an unconditional promise in writing made by one person to another and signed by the maker,who promises to pay,on demand or at a fixed or determinable future date,a certain sum of money,to,or to the order of,a specified person or to bearer.As the nameindicates,a promissory note is a promise by nature.By promising to pay,the importer also binds himself/herself by his/her domestic law.It differs from a bill of exchange in that it is initiated by the importer.
