Either in domestic or international transactions,no one likes disputes,but they do arise and are trickier in international transactions because of different cultures,business conventions,laws or regulations and so forth.Statistics show that most disputes relate to quality,among other things.Therefore,an inspection clause is normally needed for an international sales contract to clarify requirements for how to inspect the goods.Should any non-conformity with respect to quality,quantity,packing,etc.occur,the parties could lodge a claim against the responsible party for loss,and in order to resolve the claim,some mechanism for resolving disputes should be spelled out in the contract.
