摘 要：基于英语语言中音与义的联想特征，本文从英语头韵、叠韵、双关语、拟声、节律五个方面简述了英语语音的文体功能，以揭示认知英语语音的文体特征在英语语音学习和英语文学欣赏中的意义。

Abstract：Based on the association between sound and sense in the English language，this articlemakes an introduction to the stylistic function of English sound in the perspectives of alliteration，assonance，pun，onomatopoeia and rhythm，in an attempt to highlight the significance of the awareness of the stylistic function of English sound in the learning of English language and in the appreciation of English literature.

英语是一种表音文字，声音和语义之间存在着联想的关系。例如，下面这首诗就是声与义完美结合的一个范例。英国诗人Alexander Pope通过对诗歌中的语音成分精心组织和安排，使之在不同程度上附和并加强了诗歌的含义，形成了音、形、义俱美的艺术效果：
True/ease in/writing/comes from/art，not/chance，
As/thosemore/easiest/who have/learned to/dance.
