3.10.5 Data recording and processing
1)Data recording
Record observations in Ta ble 3.10.1 and Table 3.10.2,respectively.

Take IS as the abscissa and VH as the ordinate to plot a line with a slope of KHB,record value KH from the instrument panel,and then the magnetic induction intensity B can be calculated.

Take the position of the Hall element x as the abscissa and Hall voltage VH as the ordinate to plot the VH-x curve,and then calculate the central magnetic induction intensity B of the solenoid and the percentage error with the theoretical value.
2)Tips and Attentions
(1)The power supply of the tester is～220 V,50 Hz,and the power input wire is a singlephase three-wire system.
(2)The three pairs of terminals of“IS output”,“IM output”and“VH input”on the tester panel should be connected to the corresponding terminals on the experiment unit with 3 groups of wines,respectively.The“IM output”should never be connected to the“IS input”,otherwise the Hall element will be damaged once the tester is powered on.
(3)Before turning on the tester,rotate the IS and IM adjusting knobs counterclockwise to make sure their output currents tend to the minimum status.
(4)After the tester is powered on,preheat the tester for several minutes.
(5)“IS adjust”and“IM adjust”are used to control the values of the operating current and exciting current,respectively.The current value increases as the knob is turned clockwise.Please operate carefully.
(6)In order to protect the solenoid from overheating induced by high current,the exciting current switch must be turned off at all times except for data acquisition process within a short time.
(7)Before turning off the tester,turn counterclockwise the knobs of“IS adjust”and“IM adjust”to the minimum.
